The Scottish Courts and Tribunals Service said: “There have been very few occasions when drugs are found within court buildings.
“The SCTS take any such incident very seriously. As happened on this occasion, the police are immediately contacted.”
Two years ago, a cleaner was caught dealing heroin in the court where she worked and was jailed for 15 months.
Frances McIlloney, 44, from Ayr, was acting as a mule for her son.
But police were tipped off about the scheme – and arrested her as she walked into Ayr Sheriff Court.
