last week was when UKIP’s Paul Nuttall twice referred to Plaid Cymru leader Leanne Wood as Natalie. That says everything about politician­s and especially that crowd from UKIP. – B Macpherson, by email

It’s been said that you can always tell how decent a country is by how

they treat their old folk. Well, if that’s true, the UK must be one of the worst in Europe. It seems to me that they never get the respect or the care they deserve. – A Taylor, Stirling.
