Guy went potty for scenery on Skye
Movie director Guy Ritchie loved the stunning Quiraing on Skye so much that he had a portaloo carried four miles across country so he could film there.
Every piece of gear needed for the King Arthur: Legend of the Sword shoot had to be “walked in”, then carried out again.
But location manager Amanda Stevens said: “It was so worth it. The Quiraing is such an amazing place – mindblowingly beautiful.
“Guy knows what he wants and is so decisive.
“We arranged for local guys to carry the equipment – even our potty. The walk probably took just over an hour.”
The Quiraing was one of a series of Scots locations used in the movie. Guy also f i lmed at Shieldaig in Wester Ross, the Devil ’s Pulpit at Finnich Glen near Killearn, Stirlingshire, and the Caledonian Pine Forest in the Highlands.
Ama nd a s a id : “My brief was to find locations everyone in the world would want to see.
“The places we shot in Scotland – the Darklands in the film – were just the best.
“We teamed up with a wonderful Scottish location scout, Sean Barclay, and as we drove around I would scream: ‘Stop the car! This place is amazing!’
“You get a tingle when you find places so stunning that perfectly suit the script. I’ve never been anywhere so spectacular, ever, as Quiraing.”
