Taylor gets title fight sewn up
Commonwealth superlightweight champion Josh Taylor and Ohara Davies will finally meet in the ring in Glasgow after trading insults on social media for months.
The undefeated pair will lock horns for Londoner Ohara’s WBC Silver title at Braehead Arena on July 8, with the fight to be broadcast on Channel 5.
There has been no love lost between the pair on Twitter and Davies claimed last week that he would fly to Scotland to search for Taylor and give him a pen so he could sign up for the fight.
After the bout was announced Taylor tweeted: “Found my pen mate. It’s on! Can’t wait.”
Davies said: “Josh and I have been going at it on social media but compared to me, he is a nobody.”
