Mel B ex in online rant over love split
Mel B’s estranged husband has broken his silence in a rant aimed at his wife – claiming he has been left broke and homeless by their split.
Stephen Belafonte told his Instagram followers he was ready to give his version of events after the bitter separation from the former Spice Girl.
He posted a snap of their daughter Madison hugging an image of him on a TV, saying: “Sometimes you stay quiet for obvious reasons!! #thequietbeforethestorm.”
Belafonte uploaded other pictures which appeared to attack Leeds-born Mel, 41.
One said: “I’d rather be an honest a*****e than a well liked liar.”
The 41- year- old f i lm producer is reportedly “homeless and broke”, after allegedly running up a £ 46,800 credit card bill.
Papers detail how he is living on friends’ sofas after Mel threw him out of their LA home in March.
She alleges several claims of assault against Belafonte and says he forced her into threesomes during their 10-year marriage.
She also claims he got the former family nanny Lorraine Gilles pregnant and paid for her to have an abortion.
Belafonte denies the claims. In his own complaint, he says he will need tens of thousands of pounds in spousal support to maintain his lifestyle after the divorce.
Mum-of-three Mel has a restraining order against Belafonte, meaning he can only see Madison twice a week under supervision.
