Steven bets on me..and it pays off
Steven Brown thought he’d backed a winner when he bet online with Paddy Power.
His two horses romped home after he placed an £ 8 double on races at Ascot and Cheltenham on the same day.
But the bookies failed to honour their guaranteed best odds promise, despite him taking his claim to the Independent Betting Adjudication Service, who ruled in his favour.
Careta ker Steven, 47, of Kirkcaldy, said: “Paddy Power are ignoring me. I sent a letter with the IBAS findings two months ago. Now they have locked my account.
“The difference in the odds is not a fortune. I was paid £104 when it should have been £180. But it’s the principle of the thing.”
I got on to Paddy Power, who said they had a strict policy of not comment ing on indiv idual customer accounts.
But they cal led Steven last week and transferred the money to him.
Result.
