Geri It’s good to talk far too much
Ex- Spice Girl Geri Horner thought she had “ruined” Saturday Kitchen when she appeared as a guest yesterday – by talking too much.
Host Matt Tebbutt had tried to interview the singer on the BBC cookery show but was unable to ask most of his questions.
Holding up his cue card: “Look at all these questions, I’ve got all these questions to ask.”
Geri, 44, apologised, adding: “Have I ruined your show?”
The singer then addressed the camera directly, saying: “It is hard being a presenter and he’s got someone in his ear, telling him what to do.
“He’s got to cook, he’s mult i- tasking l ike we women do.”
Matt took the exchange in good spirits and tweeted later: “Love love her.”
Some viewers agreed, with one tweeting: “@Geri Halliwell was a brilliant guest on @SaturdayKitchen and she’s gorgeous too.”
Another added: “Oh Geri. Loved your performance, loved Mat t ’ s ir r itated response to you... you made my Saturday LOL.”
But others thought her full-on performance was too much for early on a Saturday.
One Twitter user wrote: “Goodness. Has Geri not spoken to anyone for five years? Calm down love. #SaturdayKitchen.”
Another said : “Ger i has spoken 167,590,509 words so far # notenough coffeeintheworld.”
