Euro rival a bit dopey
Rangers’ Euro rivals Progres Niederkorn are set to field a player facing a ban for doping.
New French signing Emmanuel Francoise failed a drugs test last month while playing for their league rivals Fola Esch.
The midfielder is understood to have taken a banned anti-asthma remedy before a 5-2 loss at champions F91 Dudelange.
However, the 30-year-old will be free to play in both games against Rangers, with his case only due to come up in September.
A Niederkorn spokesman said: “We will compile a dossier to prove he did not in any way take this substance to enhance his performance. He can play for us in official games until his case has been judged.”
