Beerman keen to be a hair-raiser in Hampden crunch

Myles Beerman is dreaming of a return to Hampden with Malta to wipe out the memory of his last visit with Rangers.

But he insists he’ll do it with a full head of hair after the ritual scalping he took from internatio­nal team-mates.

The 18-year-old full-back is in the frame for a call-up for Malta’s World Cup qualifying double header with England and Scotland in September after starring on his debut in a shock 1- 0 friendly win over Ukraine earlier this month.

And he has his sights set on a return to Glasgow’s south side after losing the Scottish Cup semi to Celtic in April.

He said: “I will keep on working hard and prove what I can do to get in the squad and into the starting XI.

“But it’s the gaffer’s decision. It would be class playing again at Hampden. As an individual experience the Celtic game was really good. It’s a brilliant stadium to play in.
