Trapped TV star is saved from lift
Coronation Street’s Brooke Vincent was rescued by firefighters after getting stuck in a lift.
The actress had been heading off on a night out on Friday when she became trapped.
A source said: “Brooke was looking forward to her evening when suddenly the lift she was in got jammed.
“She pressed the emergency button and staff talked to her the whole time to reassure her that help was on the way so she didn’t panic.
“While she was in there on her own she was totally fine and kept her cool as she had her mobile with her.
“Firefighters were called to assist and Brooke made her way out safely, laughing it all off.
“She went on to enjoy the rest of her Friday night as planned.”
She got stuck at the ABode Hotel in Manchester.
The 25-year-old is one of Corrie’s most popular cast members, working on the soap for 13 years.
Brooke’s character Sophie Webster reunited with Helen Flanagan, 26 – who plays her on- screen sister Rosie – after she returned in February fol lowing a five-year break.
Brooke revealed in June that she is dating Manchester City rising star Kean Bryan, 19.
A spokeswoman for Brooke said: “Brooke was staying at a hotel in central Manchester, and the lift did get stuck. She took it all in good humour, and was out within about 40 minutes.”
