Man held after chase

A driver has been arrested after a police chase.

The 27 year old was pulled over by officers at 4pm on Friday between Inverurie and Port Elphinstone in Aberdeenshire but he sped off and was seen to be driving on the wrong side of the road before colliding with another vehicle.

When his car came to a stop he ran away but was was apprehended after a short chase on foot.

He is due at Aberdeen Sheriff Court tomorrow.
