A last-minute strike from Gary Redpath moved BSC Glasgow joint top of the Lowland League.
Stephen Swift’s men came from behind at Ainslie Park after Jamie Dishington gave Spartans an early lead.
Robbie Duncan’s leveller was followed by Redpath’s late goal for a 2-1 victory.
Swift said: “All credit to the players. They kept going right to the final whistle.
“Spartans are a top team and not many will leave here with three points.”
Ex Huddersfield striker Liam Coogans fired a late double to take East Kilbride joint top after a 3- 0 win over Cumbernauld Colts.
Hawick Royal Albert lost 4- 0 to Edusport while Gala Fairydean and East Stirlingshire finished goal-less.
