Brian’s Roverjoyed

-

Gaffer Brian Kerr hailed Albion for bouncing back after losing 5-1 to Ayr last weekend.

Queen’s Park took the lead in 11 minutes through a Sean Burns deflected cross before the visitors equalised five minutes from half-time with a Jason Marr header.

Alan Trouten and Connor Shields both grabbed doubles as Rovers continued the rout before Thomas Orr headed in a consolation for Queen’s after 81 minutes. Kerr said: “It would have been easy to go into our shell and stop doing what we are good at but we went out and were confident on the ball.”

Gus MacPherson, the Queen’s boss, said: “We were comfortable for the first half hour then we gave away cheap goals.”
