But the 30-year- old has revealed he now fears even his career has hit a glass ceiling andd that time inside for firingg a gun could derail hiss hopes of hitting the bigg time in Hollywood.

As a teenager, Branni-nigan was locked up for fourur years in Polmont Youngng Offenders’ Institutio­n for dischargin­g a firearm.

And the young hellraiser­iser only decided to turn hiss life around after a fight with prison guards.

He said: “In termss of putting the pressuree on myself to do better, I’mm still not where I want to be. I should be pushing America more.

“But if you look at my past CV it’s all a life of crime and no education so in order to get to America you also have to change your CV, so to speak.

“So I’ve done some work with the police and the Scottish Government and I hope when the time’s right these people will back me as much as I’ve backed them.

“Obviously being done with firearms, it’s going to affect me at some level getting to America.”

Glasgow- based Brannigan, who has an eight-year-old son, was refused entry to the US for a holiday several years ago.

He hopes keeping out of trouble and his charity work, including helping children in care, will boost his chances in the future.

And he revealed he has had some interviews for Hollywood projects.

After being freed from Polmont, he became a volunteer football coach and trained disadvanta­ged youngsters as part of a police scheme. He now runs his own charity, Street Cones, and works with ex-offenders.

He has also worked with the Government­backed Violence Reduction Unit as a football coach and launched a campaign for new members for Children’s Panels.
