Blinds firm are real pane

-

Blinds I ordered from the internet were too short for my windows. I complained but the firm claimed I was not entitled to a refund as the order was bespoke. I disagree as my windows are a standard size and the blinds do not meet the measurements I gave in any case. How do I fix things? If the blinds have not been made to your specific order requirements, the firm are in the wrong. Set out your complaint in writing, pointing out they are not fit for purpose and don’t match your measurements. The firm must cover the cost of return postage.

The year-long series features Captain James Cook, Sir Isaac Newton and engineering giant Isambard Kingdom Brunel.

Thomas needs just one sovereign – Brunel – to complete his collection but makers Windsor Mint insist on sending him Princess Diana instead.

Thomas, 68, said: “It’s been going on for more than a year. I keep telling them I need Brunel.

“Diana isn’t even on the list. But I get her in the post instead.”

“I planned to leave it to my grandchildren.”

But Thomas hit a snag with Br u ne l . F i r s t , Windsor Mint had spelled his name Isambard Kindom Brunel on the collector album, missing out the G in Kingdom. Then they failed to send the coin to him.

Thomas said: “Each time I phoned, Windsor Mint claimed Stuart McAuslane knew he had a case against KLM when they lost his holiday luggage...yet they wouldn’t pay up.

He had travelled to Italy in April with wife Jan and relatives Ian and Maureen Cameron, and their hold bag went missing for 72 hours.

Stuart, 70, said: “This had a profound effect on our enjoyment of the trip. All of our toiletries were in the missing case, as was most of our clothing. We had flown to Florence then travelled to Siena to celebrate my birthday and Ian’s 60th.”

He contacted KLM to claim back outlays of £120.

Stuart, of Cardonald, Glasgow, said: “I’ve filled in
