Rabiot’s warning

-

Gordon Parks PSG playmaker Adrien Rabiot believes the signing of Kylian Mbappe has closed the debate on which European giants possess the best attacking weapons.

And the midfielder is confident the French side will have the most lethal strike force for years to come because of the age of their hitmen.

Rabiot said: “Do we now have the best attack in club football? That might already have been the case before Kylian’s arrival. But now it is certain – PSG will boast one of the best attacks in the world.

“But more exciting is how young the new recruits are. Neymar could stay at the top for another seven or eight years and Kylian over 10 or more.

“There will be a bit of a traffic jam up top but that is something the coach and the club will look at. We are going to have many options.” Rabiot is a rare product of the PSG academy and he insists recent recruitment has ended any doubts he had over the level of his club’s ambition. He said: “PSG have moved to a new level. Over the past year, one cycle ended and new life had to be breathed into the project.

“Players l ike Marco Verratt i , Marquinhos and myself were asking questions about the club’s future. We are ambitious, we want to target the Champions League. Now we have the answers to our questions, it has become difficult to have any doubts.”
