LEAGUE McKay: I’m looking for more Stirling showings like that one from now on

-

Dave McKay was delighted his Stirling side got back to winning ways with a 3-1 victory over Montrose and called for more of it.

On- loan Hearts kid Callum Morrison got a double and Sean Dickson also netted as the Binos stretched their lead at the top to four points.

And after losing to Clyde the week previously McKay said: “Last week was a bit of a blip when we didn’t reach the standards I expect.

“But this week I am delighted with our work-rate and commitment.”

Morrison netted a deflected opener before Dickson added a second. Ryan Ferguson pulled one back for Montrose but at the death Morrison got the third.

Two goals from sub Aaron Murrell and one from Michael McKenna saw Berwick fight back from 2- 0 down to win 3- 2 at home against Elgin.

Bruce Anderson had fired City in front with early goals at the start of both halves.

Ex- Celtic striker Craig Beatt ie bagged the 93rd-minute winner as Edinburgh beat Clyde 3-2.

Max Wright headed the Bully Wee in front but a Kariim Belmokhtar double turned the game.

David Goodwillie looked to have earned Clyde a point until Beattie’s goal.

Stenhousemuir ace Mark McGuigan scored against Annan but gave them the penalty leveller in their 1-1 draw.

Allan Smith got a double in Peterhead’s 4- 0 triumph over Cowdenbeath.
