Dani at double for Real

Real Madrid got back to winning ways with a 2-1 win atAlaves thanks to a Dani Ceballos double.

Zinedine Zidane’s side lost 1- 0 to Real Betis on Wednesday to leave them adrift of red- hot La Liga leaders Barcelona.

But Ceballos, a summer signing from Betis, scored in the 10th and 43rd minutes to give Real the win over Alaves – who had brief ly levelled through Manuel Garcia in 40 minutes.

Real’s city rivals Atletico moved up to second in La Liga after beating Sevilla 2-0 at the Wanda Metropolit­ano.

Yannick Carrasco opened the scoring in 46 minutes and Antoine Griezmann clinched victory with the second in 69 minutes.

The win maintained Atletico’s unbeaten start to the season on all fronts but was a first defeat for Sevilla who drop to third.

Elsewhere in Spain, Diego Rolan’s late strike earned 10-man Malaga a 3-3 draw at home to Athletic Bilbao.

Bilbao opened the scoring in four minutes when Inaki Williams fired in a penaly.

Rolan equalised in 35 minutes only for an Inaki Williams double to restore the away team’s lead.

Malaga replied with Paul Baysse and Rolan rounding off the comeback late on.

In Germany, a hat-trick f o r P i e r r e - E mer i c k Aubameyang and Max Phi lipp double helped Borussia Dortmund to a 6-1 demolition of Borussia Moenchengl­adbach.

Julian Weigl also netted for Dortmund after Lars Stindl scored a consolatio­n.

The win keeps Dortmund two points ahead of secondplac­ed Hoffenheim who won 2-0 against visiting Schalke.

Dennis Geiger put the home team ahead after just 13 minutes and Lukas Rupp added a second goal in the 90th minute.
