Robbo finds missing stink

-

Inverness boss John Robertson admits his side should have come away with all the spoils from the goalless draw at Livingston.

The visitors missed two great chances as Lions keeper Neil Alexander denied Jake Mulraney and Connor Bell either side of the break in a stuffy affair at the Tony Macaroni Arena.

And even though he was delighted with a sixth straight clean sheet Robbo, who made his 100th appearance in the

Inverness dugout, insists his team should have put Livi to the sword.

Livingston started the brighter of the teams as Josh Mullin and Craig Halkett both went close inside the opening two minutes.

But Mulraney should have opened the scoring for Inverness in the 34th minute after he raced clear of Jackson Longridge but former Rangers and Hearts keeper Alexander rolled back the years to make a telling save.

Chances were few and far between and Bell should have wrapped up all the points for the visitors in the 82nd minute.

He latched on to Liam Polwor th ’ s pass but the playmaker’s effort from close range was brilliantly diverted behind by Alexander.

Robertson said: “It’s another clean- sheet and a good point down here but it’s wee case of opportunity missed with the our chances.”

Lions boss David Hopkin, whose side passed up the chance to climb to the Championship summit , said: “It shows you how far we’ve come as a club that everyone is disappointed with a point.

“We have to be realistic about where we are. We’ve had a great start to the season but our target is to finish at least finish eighth.”
