Alan Crossan was given an initial payout for refurbishing his badly damaged pub, which was shut for 20 months.

But he is still waiting on cash from helicopter owners Bond to cover lost revenue and profits while he was closed for business. The claim also includes lost takings while the pub was shut during the 2014 Commonwealth Games.

It reopened in July 2015. But Alan claims a lawyer acting for Bond told him he should have had The Clutha open much earlier.

The businessman also claims the lawyer said he should have borrowed the money to rebuild the pub rather than wait for his insurance claim to be settled. Ten people died and 31 were hurt when a police chopper crashed into the roof of The Clutha in Bridgegate on November 29, 2013.

Alan said: “We’ve only been paid half the settlement figure of around £700,000 .

“The lawyers seemed to think I should open the pub six months after the accident. They never apologised to me on behalf of Bond. They didn’t even apologise for being two hours late for the meeting. Their attitude was appalling.”

Last month it emerged that 10 people injured in the Clutha crash have secured
