TIDE’S TURNING FOR THE DEE

-

Rangers’ nemesis Mark O’Hara insists Dundee’s Black Friday brilliance can be the result that turns their season around.

The midfielder has bagged four goals in three starts against Gers and his double hauled his side off the bottom of the table after a disastrous run of just one point from their last 18.

The 21-year-old said: “That victory can be the one that turns the tide – it’s a massive win for us.

“Psychologically, getting off the bottom of the table is massive. Nobody likes to be down there.

“We ’ ve played good football at times this season but haven’t matched it with the ugly side.

“That was more in evidence on Friday night, everybody was f lying into tackles and there was a real will to win.”

O’Hara was full of praise for team-mate Scott Allan.

The on- loan Cel t ic playmaker made only his second appearance off the bench in two months.

But his impact was instant with some brilliant set-up work for the winner. O’Hara said: “You could see Scott’s qual ity in his assist on Friday. It’s brilliant to have him back.

“He’s had a hard time of it with injuries over the last couple of months but he’s going to be an asset to the team in the coming weeks.

“It’s great to know when you’re making runs that somebody is then going to pick you out.”
