Coyle: my Stag stars can’t see out game

-

Ross County boss Owen Coyle insists the Staggies need to learn to hold on to leads better.

Coyle’s side scored the opening goal for the third time in four league matches yet failed to take all three points as they went down 2-1 to Hibs at Easter Road.

Partick Thistle’s victory over Hamilton consigned County to the bottom spot in the table.

Coyle reckons his men were also denied a blatantly good equaliser when Billy Mckay netted late on but was flagged for offside.

He said: “There wasn’t a lack of effort. We’ve got to understand we have to see the game through.

“It doesn’t have to be pretty but it does have to be effective.

“As we did against Rangers and Kilmarnock, we let the lead slip.

“It’s so close to coming together and the margins are very fine. That’s the side we need to address quickly.

“We’ve got two big games before the new year and the players know we’re looking to freshen it up and add to the squad. We’re not blessed with numbers.

“We scored a good goal – Craig Curran looks level with Efe Ambrose before squaring it for Billy Mckay to score.

“That’s a decision we’ve come out on the wrong side of.

“That’s hard to take but I thought there was enough effort. We just need to add some quality.” Oli Shaw’s minute winnin s from ggoal turned time 16 for onepoint which Neil Lenno into three ensure n’s men d that and was done justice for the Hibees .
