My pane over window deal

I signed up for new windows but, before they could be installed, the firm went bust. I paid £999 deposit by credit card and the rest in cash. Have I lost my money? No, if you paid the deposit by credit card, approach the bank in the first instance to raise a claim. Under the Consumer Credit Act, you have the same rights against the finance company as you had against the retailer. They should refund the full amount under the contract.
