Jose Mourinho has dropped a huge hint that Manchester United midf ielder Scott McTominay is set to snub England and commit his future to Scotland.

The 21-year-old is wanted by both home nations after a breakthrough season.

United gaffer Mourinho, who called on Scotland boss Alex McLeish to call up the kid, has spoken to Lancasterborn McTominay.

And he suggested the pull of playing for his father’s country of birth is set to win McTominay’s heart.

He said: “I have given Scott my advice but I think the advice of his parents is more important than mine.

“More important than his career is his feeling, his family’s feeling and also the overall situation with him.

“He’s going to have a very good career. But the most important thing is to feel good with himself.”
