Search for lost brother goes on
Volunteers carried out searches yesterday as the hunt continued for missing stag-do reveller Liam Colgan.
The search focused on Hamburg, where the missing Scot was last seen, and the town of Buxtehude 20 miles away, where possible sightings have been reported.
His family say he could be suffering memory loss and may have been injured.
In an update on the Help Find Liam Colgan Facebook page, friends wrote: “We will be carrying out further searches for Liam within Hamburg and would be grateful for the support of any volunteers available to help us.
“If you are able to, please print out some posters and bring tape.”
The Hamburg checks began at lunchtime yesterday at the Fleetenkeiker Irish Pub near where Liam was last seen.
Searchers added: “Our good friends in Buxtehude are running a search for Liam on Saturday morning at 10am.
“The meeting place is at Stackmann.
“This is a communityled initiative, so we have no further information at this time.
“We wish all those who are taking part in any searches good luck.”
No information was available last night on whether any fresh h information was uncovered.
Liam’s photograph is also to be circulated at the St Pauli v Holstein Kiel Bundesliga 2 football match in Hamburg today.
The missing man’s brother Eamonn was not available for comment last night.
