Enzo Ferrari was born 120 years ago this month.
It is fitting, therefore, that in just a few days the company he founded will unveil the Pista, with the most powerful V8 engine in Ferrari history.
The Ferrari 488 Pista continues the line of the V8-engined special series – the 360 Challenge Stradale, 430 Suderia and 458 Speciale. At the same time, it is more sporty, dynamic and has more tech on board than before.
Its development filters down directly from Ferrari’s innovation and success in motorsport and its weight-saving solutions derive from the firm’s racing cars, the 488 GTE and 488 Challenge.
The Pista offers unprecedented levels of track-like performance both on and off the road, even in the hands of non-professional drivers.
The new Ferrari has a top speed of 211mph and will get to 62mph in just 2.85 seconds.
It delivers 720PS and is expected to be priced at about £250,000.
