good. I’ve known most of the cast for years so there were no nerves and I was very comfortabl­e on set. I found shooting the show fascinatin­g and enjoyed every minute. “I’m an old hand at comedy but I’m quite new to this old acting business. What I have done, I’ve loved and it has created a yearning in me to do more so the Still Game role came at a perfect time.” Modest Bruce, who was best man at Ford’s wedding, laughs off claims that without him and that night on the lash, Greg and Ford might never have met and there could be no Still Game. He said: “They did a lot before they brought us Still Game and there is no doubt in my mind that they would have found each other if I hadn’t introduced them. “They were both destined to be stars. They have enormous talent and great comedy intuition. They are the Lennon and McCartney of comedy. “Comedy will always be my passion but I’m getting quite fond of this acting lark. “Who k nows where my Sti l l Game role could end up taking me.”
