Book is thrown at Tiger

-

Tiger Woods’ preparations for the Masters have been rocked by a new book that accuses him of trashing a house at Augusta.

The former world No.1 is looking to mark his return from injury in style by pulling on the Green Jacket for a fifth time.

But authors Jeff Benedict and Armen Keteyian are set to release a biography of Woods that sheds light on his celebrations after a Masters triumph in 2002.

Woods shared a rented Augusta house with Mark O’Meara and his wife Alicia.

But when his fel low American missed the cut and headed home, Woods had the whole place to himself with future wife Erin Nordegren.

And in the new book, called simply ‘tiger woods’, the owner of the house claims it was returned to her in a sorry state.

Peggy Lewis, a local school teacher, alleges that she found shaving cream smeared on the bedroom and bathroom walls.

Plates of partially eaten food were also found under Tiger’s bed and the kitchen was left in a total mess.

Lewis was so disgusted she stayed in a local hotel that night as professional cleaners went to work.

She also alleged that Tiger’s future wife racked up over $ 100 worth of overseas calls to Sweden without leaving a cent for the calls or a note.

An envelope later arrived with a cheque enclosed for the exact amount of the calls she had made to Sweden and not a penny more.

The book also claims that Woods total ly blanked Lewis when introduced to her in 1998 on his first stay at the house.

And she listed a range of grievances over the years, including blood stains on her favourite lounge chair and cigarette marks on an expensive dining table.

“He’s never allowed in my house again,” Lewis told one of Tiger’s assistants.
