APRIL 4, 2005 Last recorded sighting of Emma, in Glasgow, before she was reported missing by her family.

MAY 2005 Emma is found strangled in woodland near Roberton, Lanarkshir­e, by a dog walker.

AUGUST 2007 Four Turkish men – Huseyin Cobanoglu, 63, Halil Kandil, 42, Abubekir Oncu, 39, and Mustafa Soylemez, 44 – are charged with strangling Emma in a Glasgow cafe before transporti­ng her body to the woodland.

JULY 2008 Charges against all four dropped by the Crown Office.

OCTOBER 2013 Kandil settles out of court after suing police for £100,000.

APRIL 2015 Sunday Mail uncover evidence of a forgotten suspect. He had taken officers to the forest track where Emma was found dead.

MAY 2015 Police ordered to reinvestig­ate Emma’s murder. It emerges that detectives secretly seized phone data from individual­s they suspected of giving informatio­n about the probe to the Sunday Mail.

JANUARY 2017 Sunday Mail reveal a team of Met detectives have been drafted in to assist with the murder investigat­ion.

APRIL 2017 Detectives reveal they are carrying out new searches near where Emma’s body was found. Officers also reveal a potential new sighting in Glasgow on the last day she was seen alive.

JUNE 2017 Police and Emma’s mum Margaret make fresh appeal for informatio­n on BBC’s Crimewatch Roadshow.
