CRAZY ABOUT YOU
Robbo: We can shock ‘em like Vinnie’s Wimbers side
have the right mentality. Whether they’ve won t he league or are playing a so-called lesser team they have an intensity. “But we have that never-say-die attitude that gives you a chance. There’s a lot of bravery in my squad. “That’s the main ingredient along w ith our work rate and energy.” When they faced Celtic in that League Cup Final back in November, Rodgers’ Celtic were still domestically invincible. Thesedays? Not so much.
Robinson said: “We do a lot of analysis. I’ve watched how Hibs, Hearts and Kilmarnock played when t hey be at Cel t ic .
“Celtic are beatable. Make no mistake they are a top side with top players – but they are beatable. And most of the clips we’ve seen when teams cause them problems have involved footage of Motherwell. “We created chances in the final – it was just 1-0 until we got a man wrongly sent off – and we were winning 1-0 at Fir Park until they got a late penalty. “We will concentrate on what we do well against them. We don’t play with any fear and are well organised. “We’re not conceding many goals but we’ve two forwards who can cause problems and we’re as fit and strong as any team in the Premiership. “So we won’t be fazed by the occasion and there is a belief now we can win the Cup. Asked what he’ ll do differently from the League Cup Final defeat, Robinson shrugged and said: “I’m not sure I’d do any thing differently because there was little between the teams. “We changed our system, played a diamond, and it worked really well. Celtic were w inning 1-0 when the ref’s decision changed a lot of things. “At that point the game was starting to open up a little. “The biggest thing was the feeling afterwards. It was horrible.
“Psychologically it had an effect on the club and the fans.
“Everyone was down afterwards. We don’t want that feeling again. “We remember the joy we had in the two semi-finals and remember the big games we have won at Fir Park. We want to replicate that. “And believe me there is a real desire and determination to do that. We want to make a good season into an incredible one.”
The players remember big upsets .. they make the boys realise this is achievable
