The dog owner claims that businesswoman Louise Shafer failed to secure the premises and the two-year-old husky cross escaped. Asha has still not been found.
Courtney says she got a call from the owner informing her that the dog had got over a 5ft fence and run off.
She claims she was later told in a text from Louise that CCTV was switched off at the time by a family member to play computer games.
Asha was booked to stay a night at Bonnyton Farm Doggy Day Care and Kennels in Eaglesham, near Glasgow, whi le Courtney and partner Callum McCann, 25, went to Blackpool.
Courtney, 23, said: “Asha has been missing for more than two months.
“We’re not happy with the way she was looked after and are now considering action against the kennel owners for compensation. “This has been very distressing.” Office worker Courtney is clinging to the hope that someone has taken in her pet. She added: “I placed Asha at Bonnyton Farm on March 31.
“The following day I got a call from the owner stat ing Asha had managed to get across a fence and had kept running. The fence was about five-and-a-half feet high.
“When I arrived I asked if I could look at CCTV footage. I was told I’d have to wait but then got a message from the owner saying it had been turned off for a PlayStation.”
Asha was last seen by a farmer about a mile from the kennels, shortly after she escaped.
Courtney added: “I just want my dog back home.”
She reported the missing dog to police and alerted East Renfrewshire Council to the incident.
A council spokesman said: “This matter has been fully investigated and the council are satisfied this operator is meeting all requirements set out in their dog boarding licence.”
Courtney appealed online for help to find Asha and the kennels say they faced a backlash on social media media. A spokesman spokesman for Bonny ton for Bonny ton Farm Doggy Day Care and Kennels said: “We’re very sorry about the disappearance of Asha. We took all steps to locate her and have continued to do so.
“This included overnight searches and regularly engaging with Asha’s owners. Bonnyton remain hopeful that Asha can be found. We have co- operated fully with authorities.
“We have had unwarranted malicious and aggressive social media posts which appear to be based on misinformation.”
