My nan’ll go mad if I have Posh and Becks on the telly

Fears of Cockney Danny’s girl

The daughter of EastEnders hardman Danny Dyer will be on a hiding to nothing if she has sex on TV – because her mum has vowed: “I will be smacking her a***.”

Actress and barmaid Dani Dyer, 21, claims her soap star dad gave her the green light to go wild on the latest series of ITV reality show Love Island, which starts tomorrow.

More than two million fans are set to tune into the show, which pairs up single men and women in Spain’s Balearic Islands. The couples who find love get a chance to win £50,000.

Last week, Dani said: “My dad has given his blessing to have sex. But I am not going to.” But mum Jo Mas, 41, insisted: “Danny would definitely not have told Dani she could have sex on TV. No way.

“He is losing sleep with her not being at home.”

She warned :“I will be smacking her a*** if she ends up behaving like that. I’ll be going ballistic big time. I will not be happy.”

Dan’s nan and Jo’s mum Carol Mas would also be less than impressed if Dani follows the raunchy example of previous Love Island contestants.

It was Carol, 60, who convinced Dani to do Love Island – but warned her to behave herself.

She said: “I’d be really disappointed in her, especially after having a pep chat with her.

“I said: ‘ Think of all your actions and remember if you don’t have respect for your body nobody else will’. Men don’t respect girls who are floozies anyway.”

Dani, who works in a bar to supplement her acting income, hopes Love Island will lead to more telly work. But Jo has warned her daughter not to chase fame. She said: “The industry is so insecure.

“I always said to Dani, ‘I don’t know why you aren’t in musical theatre because you can sing, you can dance and you can act. Forget fame, because that is just a word.’”

Jo also revealed her daughter struggles with her confidence and is confused about her future in showbiz as she follows in the footsteps of famous dad Danny, who plays Albert Square’s Mick Carter.

She said: “I know my Dani looks better than me – she is beautiful, skinny, whatever.

“She’s very pretty, but she isn’t confident, she is shy. Dani takes after her dad. They’re both quite shy, whereas I’ve always been the leader of the pack. She loves acting but she doesn’t know who she is. She is so young.”

Danny and Jo met at school in east London when they were 14. Dani was born five years later. Jo said: “I tell her what I think and Danny is always there saying, ‘Be kind, be kind.’

“But I am so proud of her. She was my first child with Danny and I have always been obsessed with her. She was the light of my life, from the minute she was born.”
