Blow-up baby to join Trump protests

-

Donald Trump protesters are planning to troll the US president with a giant inflatable baby lookalike.

The 20 ft tall orange inflatable has been built after a £13,694 crowdfunding drive.

Demonstrators want to fly the blow-up Trump in London while the president is meeting Prime Minister Theresa May on Friday, July 13, and then take him to protests in Scotland.

It is believed the president will stay in the UK for three days and travel north of the Border to play golf.

Protests will be held in Glasgow and London on Friday and in Edinburgh on Saturday, July 14.

A source said: “The giant baby Trump would be likely to make an appearance in Edinburgh after travelling up from London.

“Organisers hope that so long as he is flown in a wide open space, the police won’t have a problem with it.

“The march will start at the Scottish Parliament and go past the US Consulate before finishing in the Meadows in Edinburgh, so that would be the obvious place for baby Trump.

“There are likely to be a events quickly organised in Aberdeen or Turnberry should the real Trump turn up there to play golf at one of his courses.”

Scotland’s new justice secretary Humza Yousaf has said the UK Government should pay to police any Scottish leg of the presidential visit.

Police Scotland claimed last week the visit would cost £5million.
