Party time for Cliff after win over BBC

-

Sir Clif f Richard celebrated his victory over the BBC by holding a party where he told friends: “I’ll come back stronger than ever.”

The 77-year-old made an emotional speech thanking pals for their support.

With the BBC appeal now thrown out, Cliff has embarked on a training programme as he aims to make hi s upcoming concerts “the best ever”.

A close friend said: “Cliff wanted a get- together to thank his friends.

“He looked quite emotional and thanked everyone for coming and for their tremendous support since the beginning of his ordeal four years ago.

“He said he’s got fire in his belly and is even more determined than ever to bounce back and perform the best shows of his career.”

Details of Cliff ’s party come two days after the BBC were told they could not appeal against the singer’s victory in a privacy case.

The celebration took place last Sunday at the home of a friend in Surrey.

He restricted those invited to his closest pals and the people who became part of his inner circle during his ordeal.

TV presenter Gloria Hunniford, one of his most loyal confidantes, is believed to have been among those invited.

The pop veteran is now preparing for two sell- out dates at the Royal Albert Hall later this year and to release a new album in time for Christmas.
