I’m in a spin over washer

-

My washing machine broke down three weeks after it was delivered. It won’t even switch on. But the retailers insist they have to be given a chance to repair it. Surely I can insist on a new machine? In fact, you can demand your money back. Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, you have 30 days to reject the machine and get a refund if it’s faulty. Set out the complaint in writing. They had previously viewed the house off plan, paying £500 deposit to Cala Homes.

Lay, who has her own beauty business, said: “When we moved in, there was no lamp post. The house was great.”

But she returned home one night in June to find the monstrosity on the path. Lay, who is originally from Malaysia, said: “I couldn’t believe my eyes.”

She called Cala to complain and they advised her to contact East Renfrewshire Council.

Lay said: “A site meeting was arranged and, at first, Cala said they had told me the lamp post would be outside the house, which was nonsense.
