Giraffe attack boy out of coma

A British scientist’s son who was critically injured in a g iraf fe at tack is now breathing on his own and waking up after 13 days in an induced coma.

Finn Williams, three, and mum Kat y, 35, were trampled near their home on Blyde Wildlife Estate in Hoedspruit, South Africa.

Dad Sam, from Bradford, Yorkshire, managed to chase the giraffe off.

F i n n ne e d e d an emergency operation to release pressure on his brain.

Family lawyer Marina Botha said: “Finn is still sedated but he is beginning to wake up.

“We can conf irm he is breathing independen­tly.”

Katy, from Baltimore in the United States, and Finn are in intensive care.
