Body find in the street

A police investigation has been launched af ter a 42-year-old man was found dead in a street.

The body was discovered in Cumbernauld in the early hours of Friday. Police were called to Medlar Road in the town at about 5.35am.

The death is being treated as “unexplained” and a post-mortem will be carried out to establish the cause. Inquiries are continuing.
