A woman was struck down by food poisoning at an Egyptian hotel where two Brits died.
Jodie Brown, 20, said she feared she was going to die after getting salmonella during her final days at the five-star Steigenberger Aqua Magic Hotel.
Jodie, of South Shields, Tyneside, had a fever and sickness and was in hospital for two days back in the UK.
She said: “The whole experience was frightening and painful – the most traumatic of my life. I was worried that I could die.”
An inquest into Brits John Cooper, 69, and wife Susan, 63 – guests at the hotel in Hurghada who died within hours of each other – is to begin on Tuesday.
Egyptian authorities said E. coli was a factor in both of their deaths.
