Familiar ring to it

An Asda checkout worker was reunited with her 45-year- old wedding ring after it dropped into a shopper’s carrier bag.

Gran June Cook had no idea when the ring had fallen off her finger.

Then four days later a man walked into her store and said he had found it while unpacking.

June, 63, who lives with retired husband Philip, 65, in Rainham, Kent, said: “I never thought I’d see it again. It has restored my faith in human nature.”
