Flight fight after ex dies

-

I was on holiday in Spain when my ex-wife died and I had to get home for the sake of our children. I assumed my travel policy would cover me for flights but the insurance company claim I am not a close relative. What can I do? Check the terms. It could be that close relatives are defined and an ex-husband or wife is specifically excluded. If the policy is silent, complain in writing. If that doesn’t work, take the matter up with the Ombudsman.
