Moussa Dembele’s Lyon debut ended with a lucky point as the Ligue 1 giants were held to a 2-2 draw with nine-man Caen.

The former Celtic striker, who moved on deadline day for £ 20million, started up top and played 90 minutes.

But it was fellow French ace Nabil Fekir who hit the opener right on the stroke of half-time with a free-kick.

Former Lyon man Claudio Beauvue levelled from the spot in 53 minutes after Adama Mbengue’s foul before Caen’s Aleksander Djiku saw red minutes later.

Prince Oniangue then gave Caen the lead before Ferland Mendy rescued a point and Baissama Sankoh walked for a headbutt deep into injury-time.

In Spain, Luis Suarez and Ousmane Dembele helped Barcelona come from behind to beat Real Sociedad 2-1.

Aritz Elustondo gave the home side a 12th-minute lead after poor defending.

But Suarez pulled one back in 63 minutes before Dembele hit the ki l ler second two minutes later.

Atletico Madrid avoided a shock home defeat to little Eibar thanks to debut boy Borja Garces.

The minnows took a shock lead in 87 minutes when Sergi Enrich stabbed in but 19-year-old Garces levelled in the 94th minute from Angel Correa’s cut-back.

And in Germany, Bayern Munich thrashed 10-man Bayer Leverkusen 3-1.

Wendell’s spot kick had Leverkusen ahead but Corentin Tolisso and Arjen Robben replied. James Rodriguez sealed it after Karim Bellarabi saw red.
