Comeback kids Keith fought back from a goal down to sink Nairn County 2-1.

Nairn’s Max Ewan saw a penalty saved by Greg Simpson but the away side took the lead thanks to Adam Porritt.

The Maroons then turned the game around through Bradley Manson and Cammy Keith.

Victorious boss Dean Donaldson said: “I’m pleased with the reaction we got after half-time.

“We were the better team early in the first half but did not take the chances.

“We had a chat at halftime and got a couple of goals to turn it around.

“That is the third time this season we have come back from a goal down to win so I am delighted.”

County gaf fer Ronnie Sharp said: “It is the same story every week – we are struggling in the last third.

“We cannot seem to score. We had chance after chance but there was no end product in the final third.”

Inverurie Locos are now within four points of leaders Cove Rangers after Neil Gauld notched FIVE goals in a 7-1 thrashing of bottom side Fort William.

Gauld took his season’s tally to 29 while Joe McCabe and Mark Souter also got on the scoresheet.

Michael Ellis had dragged the scoreline back to 2-1 down for poor Fort.

The only other league match on Scottish Cup weekend saw For res hammer Buckie Thistle 7-2.

Andrew Macrae and Robbie Duncanson both grabbed hat-tricks.

Stuart Soane had opened for the Can Cans whi le Callum Murray netted both for bedraggled Buckie.
