Corrie’s Samia is helping hobbles
CORRIE star Samia Longchambon has gone from the Cobbles to the hobbles – as a trained reflexologist.
Samia, 35, is putting her focus on her clients’ feet af ter having massage tuition at a beauty parlour.
She has been working part-time as a reflexologist while spending time away from the ITV soap – in which her character Maria Connor runs a beauty parlour owned by Rula Lenska’s character Claudia Colby.
Samia revealed earlier this year that ref lexology and learning a new skill is keeping her own long-term anxiety struggles under control.
Now she has revealed she has treated four clients – and aims to try out the techniques on her Corrie co-stars after returning to the show.
S ami a said: “I ’ve always been interested in ref lexology and holistic therapies and it’s given me a break from my own head.
“It helps you relax and it helps with anxiety – having something to focus on, rather than over-thinking, which I’m guilty of.
“My castmates keep offering to be guinea pigs. I’ll make sure they have clean feet before I poke around.”
Samia, who was trained in ref lexolog y at the Massage and Beauty Room in Tamworth, Staffordshire, has two children from her first marriage to property developer Matt Smith.
She is now wed to former Dancing On Ice pro Sylvain Longchambon, 37 – who she met on the show in 2013.
