to the Hoops boss when they meet in the f irst leg in Glasgow in 11 days’ time.

Rodgers dismissed the fears and said: “We’ll have Dedryck back.

“He’ll join the training group this weekend, that’s the plan, and we’re hoping he’ll be ready to rejoin the main group next week.

“He has been tight in his abductors and we didn’t think it would be this long but each time he has tried to go out and push it there has been a slight tightness.”

Rodgers revealed he has already spoken to full-back Mikael Lustig about his future with the club after the arrival of German Jeremy Toljan on loan from Borussia Dortmund.

The Swede’s deal at Celtic Park is up in the summer, although the Hoops have a one-year option to retain his services again.

But Rodgers insists they are keeping things openended with no commitment either way for now.

He said: “I spoke to him so that he and I know where everything is at.

“He is someone I have a real respect for and that is why I made sure I spoke to him the very first moment I could after the transfer window closed.

“We had a nice chat on Friday. He is happy with it and will go with it and we will speak again.

“Mikael fully deserves the respect of knowing the reasons why we would bring in Jeremy and what it looks like going forward.

“That’s because he has been a great servant for the club and in my time here he has been absolutely fantastic for us.”

Rodgers is adamant no definite outcome has been reached yet by either party.

The Hoops boss added: “There is not a final decision made on anything.

“As part of his contract, before the end of the season the club need to make him aware where he is at.”

Meanwhile, Celtic’s plan to loan new American recruit Andrew Gutman to Nashville has hit a snag.

The MLS have refused to sanction the left- back’s switch and he could now return to Parkhead.
