ALLEGATIONS AGAINST COLLEAGUES

-

without you seeing it, PSD having been where the corruption I’m reporting occurred, and being the department who were the subject of the investigation I’m proving was carried out by a corrupt officer.

“Do you real ly think documented police corruption should be being investigated by the department in which it was committed, or by anyone attached to any police force in which it was committed?”

It is the first time Brown has spoken outside of the Glasgow tribunal with any details of the content of his complaints.

The claims centre on officers who worked with the old Strathclyde Police before Police Scotland was created in 2013.

Brown has spent the last two years battling to use legal protection as a whistleblower to make his claims.

It is believed he hopes to use the hearing to claim drugs evidence was planted, officers forged witness statements and cash seized under proceeds of crime laws was mishandled.

Brown also plans to make allegations about the use of informants by police, including a claim officers hid the fact that one had been committing crime.

Earlier this year we revealed how Pol ice Scot land had spent nearly £ 500,000 on legal fees f ighting its of f icers at employment tribunals despite having its own solicitors.

Its legal bill in fighting PC Brown so far is understood to be over £ 63,000.

Brown declined to comment.

Police Scotland said: “All complaints are passed to the relevant department and investigated thoroughly.”
