Wife says star had gender dream
I’m A Celebrity’s Caitlyn Jenner fantasised about being a woman 40 years before she had gender reassignment surgery – her first wife has revealed.
The Ol y mpic gold medallist, previously a man called Bruce, confessed to Chrystie Scott during their first year of marriage in 1972 that “he wanted to be a girl”, she has claimed. It took Bruce, 70, two more marriages for him to come out as Caitlyn in April
2015. Two years later, she had a final operation af ter wanting to have the “right parts”.
When Bruce initially told Chrystie – with whom he has two chi ldren – about his
“fantasy”, she wept and said: “I feel like my husband is dead.”
Now she blame s t he Kardashian clan – including his most recent wife Kris Jenner – for changing him into a person who is too “Hol lywood”, having appeared on hit US TV series Keeping Up With The Kardashians. Chrystie said: “I think his look is their look. It breaks my heart.
“He took inspiration from the girls’ glamorous style on the show. That was really sad.
“Bruce was my husband and Bruce was an athlete. When I first saw Caitlyn I couldn’t stop staring.
“It was a shock and still is when I see her. I have to force myself to look away.
“I prefer him male. Bruce was my hero – he was a great guy and he has gone through so many changes, and I can’t say they are good.
“It’s hard for the kids and I constantly have to convince them he’s still their dad. “
Chrystie’s ex faces going into the Australian jungle tonight and she has no doubt Caitlyn in it to win it.
She added: “Caitlyn will be fine with the creepy crawlies and the kangaroo penis.”
