Aaron waits on Livi deal

-

Livingston new boy Aaron TaylorSinclair will have to wait to find out if he has earned a longer deal.

The left-back was only snapped up last month on a deal until January following a short spell out of the game.

The former Partick Thistle star, released by Motherwell in the summer, has impressed boss Gary Holt since making his debut as a second-half sub against Rangers and started in the 3-3 draw with St Mirren yesterday.

But with three games in eight days before the winter break, both he and Holt have put talks over a potential extended deal on the back burner.

Holt said: “We’ve not spoken about it. Aaron just wants to come in, train, play and be a part of something.

“He hadn’t played 90 minutes since April and then suddenly played three games in a week. He really enjoys it and has fitted in well with the boys.

“It’s honestly refreshing to see, a boy who has no baggage, no airs or graces, and just wants to come in and do his job to the best of his ability every single day.

“He has done himself no harm but with full-time training and games we’ll certainly get more out of him.

“He’s a wee bit like Ronseal. He does exactly what it says on the tin! It’s as simple as that and that’s why he’s fitting in well.

“I’ll address his contract when I get a chance – but during December I’m not going to get too many chances.

“We’ve been open with him and he has been open with us. We just want to concentrate on playing games.

“We want to focus solely on each match and then we’ll talk after that.”
