Allan Johnston dubbed Stephen Dobbie unplayable as he celebrated his new deal with a star turn.
Dan Pybus grabbed his first of the season before Ricky Little’s own goal ensured a Queens victory.
But it was Dobbie who ran the show, 90 minutes after the club announced he’d signed an extension until summer 2021.
Boss Johnston said: “We were outstanding and how
I know the crowd get frustrated.
“We’re not going to boss the whole game. It is frustrating that instead of rallying behind us, they start to moan.”

Dobbie exploited space on the right in 33 minutes to deliver a cross to the near post that Pybus bundled in.
Mikey McKenna rattled a 25-yard free-kick off the bar for Arbroath with five minutes left.
But luckless Little then turned Scott Mercer’s cross into his own net two minutes later.

Campbell said: “Queen of the South had a few good chances but it’s quite ironic they scored two of the worst goals I’ve seen this season. One has hit the boy on the backside and it’s gone in. The other one is an own goal.”
