Race to help liquid throw man

A 21-year-old man was rushed to hospital yesterday after having an unknown liquid thrown into his face in broad daylight.

Police and an ambulance services raced to Edinburgh’s Saughton Park following the incident at about 2.10pm on Saturday afternoon.

Officers are appealing for information to help trace the per son responsible for the attack on the man in the capital.

A Po l i c e Scotland spokesman said: “We received a repor t that a man had an unknown liquid thrown in his face in Saughton Park, Edinburgh.

“The 21-year- old man has been taken to hospital as a precaution.

“Our enquiries are ongoing to trace the person responsible.”
