Ineos enters 4x4 market
The much-anticipated Ineos Grenadier has finally put its head above the parapet.
The Grenadier is the brainchild of petrochemicals billionaire Jim Ratcliffe, whose firm runs the massive plant at Grangemouth.
He came up with the idea of his own no-frills, utilitarian 4x4 after Jaguar Land Rover announced in 2015 they were to end production of their iconic Defender.
The Automotive Grenadier, which will have the same boxy look as the Defender, will go into production at Bridgend in Wales next year and is expected to cost between £30,000 and £45,000.
